Happiness | Frederika Roberts and Paulette Edwards | BBC Sheffield

How to be Happier | Happiness | Expert interview on BBC Sheffield

BBC Sheffield, 23rd March 2016

Frederika Roberts discusses Happiness, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and the World Happiness Report 2016 Update on BBC Sheffield with Paulette Edwards.

About the World Happiness Report: “We feel happier if we feel that other people are happy, too.”

You’re teaching your brain what you want to filter for…if you focus on negative stuff, your brain goes “Aha, this person wants to know lots of negative things!” and keeps bringing negative things to your attention.  If you focus on positives, your brain brings more positive things to your attention. If you’ve ever bought a new car, for example, the moment you’ve bought that car, the streets are littered with the same car…because you notice it.
