Happiness and wellbeing expert Frederika Roberts, aka ‘The Happiness Speaker’, is launching a new flourishing podcast for teachers to coincide with the start of the new academic year.
The ‘For Flourishing’s Sake‘ podcast trailer will be available from 7am Monday 19th August and the podcast will launch on Monday 2nd September at 7am. It will be available on iTunes, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and other platforms, as well as the podcast website itself, where listeners will also be able to post comments on individual episodes and interact with each other and with Frederika.
‘For Flourishing’s Sake’ is a weekly 5-minute wellbeing boost for teachers and school leaders. It is a bite-size podcast providing teachers with a weekly dose of inspiration, support and practical tools and ideas to enable them and their students to flourish, by supporting teacher and student wellbeing.
This flourishing podcast will also feature other teachers / educators and experts in education, positive psychology / wellbeing from time to time. Frederika invites Doncaster Chamber members who fit those criteria to get in touch to apply to be a future podcast contributor.
Frederika is a positive and character education speaker, trainer and author who mostly works in schools with teachers, students and occasionally parents, providing them with practical, evidence-informed tools to improve their wellbeing and help them flourish. She has an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and is due to start a Doctorate in Education in October 2019. Frederika is also European Representative for the Education Division of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA). She has published two books to date (Recipe for Happiness, 2013; Character Toolkit for Teachers, 2018, with Elizabeth Wright) and her latest book, ‘For Flourishing’s Sake’ (working title) is due to be published in the Spring/Summer of 2020.
