Yorkshire-based Inspirational Speaker rewarded for delivering Happiness to local businesses

A Yorkshire-based inspirational speaker won the ‘Guest Speaker of the Year’ Award at The Network Foundation’s ‘South Yorkshire Business Awards’ on Friday.
Frederika Roberts, The Happiness Speaker, was one of six nominees for the ‘Guest Speaker of the Year’ Award, having delivered her ‘Recipe for Happiness’ speech at The Network Foundation’s Sheffield Expo in June this year.
A wide variety of businesses attended the Awards dinner on Friday, where winners were also announced in five other categories: Outstanding Business of the Year (RuggerEds), Business Achievement of the Year (Relaxation Den), Business Person of the Year (Jason Mace, MD of Gala Tent Ltd), Successful New Business (Infinity Digital) and Excellence in Customer Service (oXyFire Media).
The Awards were presented by Sheffield Councillor Sioned-Mair Richards.
“It was a pleasure to give out awards to such a variety of great local businesses at the South Yorkshire Business Awards and have the opportunity to chat to business owners about their achievements and ongoing plans. I wish all the winners every success in the future”, said Councillor Richards.
Frederika had previously won the ‘Guest Speaker of the Year’ Award in 2013. She said “I am delighted to have been recognised for two consecutive years for doing what I love: sharing knowledge and experience to help businesses and individuals to flourish. My speaking career has, to date, allowed me to share simple and easy-to-implement tips on happiness in order to achieve greater success with business owners/managers, with charity and public sector employees and with pupils in schools, amongst others. I am grateful to Becki Jones and Samantha Nicholson of The Network Foundation for inviting me to speak at their events and for organising the South Yorkshire Business Awards every year, and of course to everyone who has voted for me.”

The Network Foundation is a Sheffield-based not-for-profit organisation that runs regular networking events and a number of annual business Expos throughout the year.
